[Fishing & Aquaculture] How To Fish

This tutorial is all about fishing. We show you where to get a fishing rod, how to use it and how you catch some fish.

What You Need For Fishing

Fishing rod: Obviously.
Sport boat: If you want to fish on the sea. Purely optinal.

Let's Get To Work!

With these instructions, you'll soon have a fish wriggling on your hook:

Step 1: Buying the fishing rod

You can find the fishing rod at the hand tools section of the dealership. As soon as you have one, just equip it. Press the designated button for hand tools

Step 2: Go fishing

Ready to go fishing? You can fish in any body of water you find, even at sea using the sport boat. Look in the direction where you want to cast your fishing rod and press the assigned button. The longer you hold it, the farther the bait will fly. Then it’s time to wait for a fish to bite.

As soon as the indicator appears, press the action button at the right moment. If you miss it, the fish will escape. Once it is hooked, keep the hook in the mini game parallel to the fish by pressing and holding or releasing the designated button until the red-orange bar on the left is completely filled.

Got it? Then you can either release the fish back into the water or sell it.

Tips For Fishing

In very shallow waters, it takes longer for a fish to bite.
The season also affects the waiting time when fishing.
The longer you cast your line, the faster a fish will bite.
You will find hotspots all over the map: These hotspots are not marked and must be discovered by you!
When you find a hotspot, the information will be displayed in the upper right corner.
