It is located in the southeast of the Oldambt region, north of the Westerwolde region, and east of the Groningen province, on the German border.
It was inspired by the village structure. Therefore, some locations are similar. The roads, settlements, and small lake are designed similarly. The farmland is smaller than it actually is.
