Soil Compaction adds realistic soil compaction. Heavy machinery compacts the ground beneath its wheels and tracks, reducing yield.

Compaction strength depends on vehicle weight, tyre type and soil condition. Narrow tyres compact the most; wide and dual tyres and tracks compact less. Wet soil compacts faster, while frozen soil compacts much more slowly.

Compaction is shown on a dedicated map layer and in the field information panel. Ploughs, subsoilers, cultivators, harrows, seeders and planters gradually loosen the soil. Slow natural recovery also applies.
